Sculptures

Sculptures are also a form of artwork. They are of different shapes and sizes.

“Compassion” is a basically termed as “Concentric Circles”. This is a wonderful piece of artwork and suits to modern housing and can also be fit in home lawns. It is made up of terracotta clay heated to more than 1000°C with a deep green moss-like crystal glaze. Its design consists of two concave hemispheres & one convex hemisphere. Its size is about 10cm x 10cm x 10cm. 

“Rain Drop” is another artwork based on “Concentric Circles”. Its design is similar to a rain or tear drop. The surface of this artwork is plain and its structure is extremely hard. It is also made up of buff clay by heating it at more then 1200°C then it is glazed with teal. After that it is again treated with burgandy glaze at around 1000°C. 

This artwork “Fluidity” is very smooth and has no particular shape. Its design is having a lot of curves and it is designed for those people who have very different tastes of art. It is made up of terra cotta clay heated at more than 1000°C. After that it is smoke fired. Its size is about 40cm x 30cm x 40cm. 

My favorite artwork is “Black Angel” because I have created it as per my liking. Its design represents an angel flying and I just love to fly. Before the designing of these artwork I wanted to experience the exciting moments when your feet separates from the ground under your cognizant hold. You lean your body frontward until you got into an perfect balanced situation and there is a belief in mind that you can also fly high in the air like birds. This artwork is made up of plaster of paris and terra cotta clay treated at around 1000°C and coating it with different metal oxides at more than 1200°C. Its size is about 40cm x 30cm x 30cm. 

My next artwork “Owlets” was just an experiment with a sphere & a cylinder and to my surprise I was ended with a highly communicative and expressive artwork. Its design is very similar to an alien’s face and an owl’s head. I was amazed after the finishing this artwork and thought that there is no limit of human brain. For designing this artwork I treated bluff clay and teal glaze at around 1200°C and then reglazed with blue streaked crystal at a temperature more than 1000°C for glaze on the internal surface representing the eyes of an alien. Its size is about 10cm x 10cm x 10cm. 

Another one is “Conjoined”. This is also a perfect decorative piece of artwork and can be placed anywhere in house to give it a modern look. It is made up of buff clay which is heated at a very high temperature with a green crystal. Its surface is form glazed falcate presenting the clay through a see-through and marginally crackled finishing. This artwork was designed to carry on my passion for “Concentric Circles”. Its design is very similar to a half moon when represented in a sleeping mood. And that’s the great thing about its design. Its design is both two dimensional as well as three dimensional. Its just a masterpiece. Its size is about 20cm x 8cm x 20cm.
